Small businesses often lack the resources and expertise to adequately protect their networks when using third-party identity applications. Microsoft recently announced it has partnered with a company that uses RPA to automate the process of selecting identity providers, making customer acquisition safer for startups.

The number of vertical industries with companies using RPA to automate processes continues to grow. Microsoft, which has made significant investments as a provider of RPA and intelligent automation technology, said its partnership with Cerby will enable innovative businesses to connect more safely and easily with other Microsoft partners through the Microsoft for Startups program.

In its announcement of the partnership, Microsoft said Cerby uses RPA to connect applications that lack support for security standards (e.g., single sign-on) to corporate identity.

“Our goal is to enable a new level of security and productivity for business professionals, allowing them to choose the most useful applications, all while automatically correcting the most common security lapses like weak passwords and disabled 2FA,” said Belsasar Lepe, co-founder and CEO of Cerby. “This arrangement with Microsoft gives us the foundation to reach a much wider audience.”
