FCC Solicits RFP for RPA Technology and Services

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has issued a Request for Proposals for a service provider to implement RPA within its Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC). The federal government has prioritized the use of RPA across its various agencies, and the FCC said in a recent SAM notice it is looking for a “qualified contractor to provide a tool and services to enable it to automate structured repetitive tasks to minimize manual intervention and introduce process efficiencies.”

The RFP, bid sheet and other required documents are available on the USAC website and proposals are due no later than Jan. 4, 2021 by 11 a.m. ET.

USAC is the unit of the FCC that manages funds supplied by telecommunications companies with the goal of providing all Americans a baseline level of telecommunications service access. Most recently, its efforts have been to extend availability of broadband internet at reasonable and affordable rates.
