A senior executive with India’s biggest car manufacturer told the Economic Times that RPA has reduced costs in certain areas of the organization by up to 25 percent.

In the interview, Rajesh Uppal, senior executive director for HR and IT at Maruti Suzuki India told ETCIO that the company has “a lot of good examples” of how RPA can make processes more efficient.

“We are strongly adopting RPA in all our routine processes and we are seeing a significant advantage,” Uppal said. “A lot of routine work which is done by people is going to be automated. We have several good examples and use cases in various business areas where RPA has played a significant role whether it is customer claim processing, finance, etc. We see a good 20 to 25 percent cost reduction by using RPA. It is much more accurate and much more efficient.”
