Krista Software, an intelligent automation platform provider, has received a $15 million Series A funding round. Dallas-based Krista, which launched in 2016, said it will use the cash infusion to expand its network of service provider partners in strategic geographies and add to its engineering team to bolster research and development of its platform.

“Businesses and their employees are overwhelmed with overly complex business processes using too many technologies,” said Don Rainey, general partner at Grotech Ventures, which led the funding round. “Companies are struggling with how to manage legacy apps, new digital transformation projects, and challenging labor markets. Krista changes all that.”

Rainey, a veteran of e-commerce, internet, and network-focused venture investing, will join Krista’s board of directors. In addition to Grotech, Rally Ventures and iGrafx also participated in the investment round.
