Roboyo, a German consulting firm focused on the intelligent automation space, has tapped industry veteran Jim Walker to lead its U.S. public sector team. Walker most recently was chief technology officer and evangelist for UiPath’s public sector team. Walker, who served in roles at NASA, the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), and the US Army, will use his experience educating and advising U.S. local, state and federal agencies on automation to bolster Roboyo’s efforts in the same area.

“Government is not business,” Walker said. “Providing routine and emergency services to citizen, tourist, and immigrant before, during and after man-made and natural disasters at the city, county, state, and federal level is a business no business would want. I am Incredibly honored the leadership team at Roboyo is entrusting me to lead their efforts to advise and deliver automation services to governments across the country.”

Last October, Roboyo, founded in 2016 by Deloitte and Capgemini veterans, acquired Jolt Advantage Group as part of a strategy to increase its presence in North America. Walker will be an important addition as this process continues. The addition of Tampa-based Jolt made it the largest automation services company in the world with more than 400 employees in 10 countries, the company said. Roboyo is a UiPath partner.
